Some more WW1
The Vickers/Clyno shown previously in the thread is on display at the National motorcycle museum (England). The similar Matchless combo I think is privately owned (pics from 1914-1918 forum). The other is of a Motor Machine Gun Battery, either Motor Machine Gun Service, or later Machine Gun Corps (Motors).These bikes/combos were first used on Western Front, but due to the trench conditions that developed, many of the units were disbanded. They were also used (singles and combos) for scouting in Mesopotamia, Persia and Afghanistan.
