Maybe a tenant unit attached to the 82nd

They could be. There is much more than just Infantry in the 82nd.

Thank you, the one of the shell exiting the tube is amazing, do you have any info on the shutter speed of the camera?

82nd is a Division element... complete with support and slice elements. The mortar maggots are heavy mortars.. (60mm and 81mm are the only ones jumped in as far as I know.) and mortarmen are infantry. So the unit is likely a mechanized unit in the division.

Good to see support over there.

I think more like engineers.

If you look at the Jaon Jett pic, the 3 Captains to the right have Engineer insignia (http://www.xbox-connection.com/hostedimages/engineers.jpg) on their collars

1: there are no mechanized parts to the 82nd, it's a light infantry unit

2: 120 mortars are being turned over to FA. the 105's are too heavy to haul around the mountains

Here a short movie (sorry, no good quality and in Dutch), showing 120mm mortars from Dutch 11 AMB firing live.

And a nice pic to go with it:

120mm mortar is anything but "light" infantry.
