The rail is a dovetail type, but I guess "nobody cares."

I own a Tippmann A-5 and it kicks arse.

Me too, it does indeed kick ass. I want to get a red dot sight for my A-5 but when looking online I kept seeing ones saying they can be used on the 98 and A-5 that were weaver style. I had to ask to make sure. The "Nobody cares" quip is a not so inside joke that is part of this website. :)
