Good Afternoon guys,

I have a millionaire friend who is very itchy due to up and coming possibility of the Assault Weapons ban being reinstated. He has asked me for info on three specific rifles and where to get them at an ok Deal, gunsamerica, and gunbroker are dry on these wants for him. This kid is 25 and has a collectors liscense in MD. He has only been in the sport for three years and has over 30 guns. Some we only wish we could own.

I would google the names. I have seen Galil in 223 for sale recently, (http://aimsurplus.com/) there are a number of companies.

What is probably more important find a FFL holder near you that it can be shipped too.

That house bill has a lot of people worried. One of the reason ammo has gone up alot recently.

Man, I saw two nice Galils at the Gun Show this past weekend, did you make it by any chance ? .....Tell your friend to keep an eye out in AR15.com , you'll find good stuff there every now and then.
Im keeping my fingers crossed about that assault rifle ban ! ....I wonder what will happen if the law comes into effect, if they are going to charge us more taxes to people that already have them, specially class III weapons.

We couldnt make it there as much as we wanted to. Flu kicked my arse. I wish i could have. Hopefully another one will come up soon. Did you score anything???

Also atlantic firearms is in state for us which would make it great, but he specificly states on his Voice mail sales are quadrupiling due to the Pending ban, so we left a message hopeing he calls back. And hes all out of 74's (he only has tantals)

I've bought off there a few times and never had any problems... but then again it all depends on who you are buying from.

Century are the guys that have put the Galils together, and I got to handle one of AIMs yesterday while I was there dropping something off for Bryan and picking up some .308.
The Galil is pretty sweet but with the price tag and my recent purchase of the Savage and everythign that will go into it along with the possibility of buying that Norinco M1A, there is no way I could swing the Galil.

AIM rocks, they treat you right, and for that reason I do my best to spend all my money there.

Usually there are good sellers that have to prove their credibility before selling a firearm there. As gun owners honesty is one thing we have, kind of not the hobby to play around with.

If the guy is a millionaire, he probably wants a earlier Galil import, not one of the newer ones built out of used kits and American receivers.

www.sturmgewehr.com (http://www.sturmgewehr.com) is a good place to find semi-autos, and very often older Galil imports show up there, but it is just a trading board, no guaruntees offered. In fact, I see a few Galils there right now.

In the US? No you don't need any special paperwork. It's a class one rifle.

As long as you don't live in California, you can get one no problems. It's just a semi-automatic rifle after all. :)

Good luck finding ammo though. .50BMG is getting harder and harder to find. :(

Dur and myself have a friend that owns a .50(not a Barrett though, and another that owns a .50 machine gun) and neither of them have mentioned anything about ammo becoming scare. They both shoot surplus though.
