Soldier or not, you should realise when you're stepping on toes and acting like a ****. In fact I'd expect a soldier to be more aware. This isn't Arrse, and doesn't have the same atmosphere. Not everyone here's going to automatically know what you're on about. Don't automatically assume you're on top and correct because you've done your time. Respect is earned. I've got mates in sandy places at the moment, I know they're not doing it because they want a warm welcome and free stuff at the end of it.

Just a heads up, Iraq has to be one the most debated and discussed topics on this forum, often in great detail; many members of this site have been there. Coming in and just going off on one in this manner (and sticking it to one of the mods in the process) probably hasn't provoked the masses into a pleasant reaction, hence the responses here. The idea is to "lurk" a bit and get a feel for the place as it were, to avoid incidents like these.
