The US have got that big, twin hulled transport ship that is used to get large numbers of troops in close to shore without detection.

Did a little searching and it's called the TSV-1X Spearhead.

Here's some links to sites and pics:

They used a parody of it in one of the Bond movies. It's future is research only.

From left, the Navy's Joint Venture (HSV-X1) and the Army's Spearhead (TSV-1X) are high-speed catamarans designed and built by Australian shipbuilders. The joint-service vessel design was coordinated by the Navy’s Warfare Development Command in close partnership with elements of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. The vessel’s impressive speed can move troops and equipment into a theater of operations quicker than currently used military transport vehicles. The ability to carry such loads is a considerable savings in both time and money when compared to using military and commercial aircraft. Operation Enduring Freedom is the first time the craft have been deployed together in support of military operations.

The stealth ship is not the same as the HSV made by Austal out of Australia...the stealth ship is meant to be low radar vis...the HSV is just meant to be fast and is not just for research - we've already bought a few to transport large numbers of troops for Okinawa. The only problem seems to be they ride really rough so everyone gets seasick.

waste of cash IMHO. money would better be spent on refitting the Tarawa and Wasp class assault ships and creating a Special Forces command and operations ship instead.

I mean the need for a stealth ships really isnt there, seeing as i dont see the US doing ship-ship combat anytime soon.

It is waterjet propulsion, I think.

Did any other ship use waterjet propulsion now?

I would say Japan JMSDF's Hyabusa Class Fast Patrol missile Boat(PG),
and of course the Royal Norwegian Navy's Skjold Class Fast Patrol Boat(FPB).

Yes, A friend of mine told me that the propulsion system is from France, first developp for civilian ship but Chinesse obtain blue print unofficially.
