Oh yeah, nothing like a belt fed 155 to ruin your day.
I got to see these things being trialed a while back in Shilo, Manitoba when the Germans were still there. ****ing outrageous.

Data given in the Videos:
The PzH 2000 is the most advanced artillery system in existence.
Weight is 56 tons, offroad speed 40 km/h. The engine has 1000 PS.
Range is 30km, with special "range enhanced" grenades 40km.
Firing speed: 3 shots per 10sec, 10 shots per 1 min, 20 shots per 2,5 min.
The PzH 2000 is ready to fire 30 sec after stopping, after firing it takes 30 sec and its on the move again (to evade answering fire of enemy artillery).
On board ammo is 60 shots, loading takes 12 min, a board computer manages the ammo load, an on board robot stores it away.
Italians and then the Dutch will introduce PzH 2000s into their armed forces.

Spain might get on the PzH 2000 as well to substitute the M-109. Of course that was with the old government, I have no idea with the new one (but zapatero and Schroeder sure got friendly yesterday).

Is the USA getting PzH2000 now that the Crusader project has been killed ???
I believe that USA's only SP 155mm Artillary is the M-109 which is way old.

Nope.
I like the PzH 2000 and after the Crusader, I think it should have been the second choice for the US Army.
However, Rumsfeld wants something "much lighter"...

Yeah, the AGM looks like an interesting but weird compromise.
Is the turret fully automated ? Do we have any stats about it ?

turret is fully automatic, its a PzH2000 turret with less armour on a MARS (germanized MLRS) vehicle

are there any backdraws compared to designs such as the Caesar, the ATMOS 2000 or the FH-77AD ?

what does backdraw mean?
drawbacks probably.
it's like pro's and con's
pro = it's got a massive gun
con = it looks a bit stupid

hmmm ... my bad, I though backdraw was a synonym for disadvantage ..
-edit- I meant drawback :p
I shouldn't let my english skills rust that to the point where I'm unable do remember how to say something as basic as "désavantage, inconvénients" in this language :) ...

maybe a german paratrooper captured it ^^
seems pretty woodlandish to me ... besides German paratroopers couldn't catch a cold in Holland if their lives depended on it ;).
he was probably hiding inside to steal it (and a couple of bikes) and drive it back to the heimat

Red is the colour of the artillery and tank-artillery troops here in Germany. That´s the reason why he is wearing it.

Did anyone else notice that in the video they missed the target. :D
You think they might use the shot after they adj fire. It looks pretty bad when you make a video designed to show what an amazing piece of kit this is and it does not hit the target.

as far as I know, every german APC/tank etc. has an animal name. Does this vehicle have such a name?
Macs.

No, I don't think so.
"Nasenbär" would be a good one.

Thank you for the pictures.
Very nice.
BTW FYI the M-109s the US Army have are nothing like the old ones, and it seems like the US is looking to light things that can be moved quickly by air. The New Assault gun was stated to be for both direct fire, and indirect fire (Don’t ask me, it is not my thing/idea etc).
