There is that anorak from Frontenac or Parklands Canada.
The downside, they're anoraks.

That's the one running from Frontenac. So the CADPAT used is about the same as the issued Gore, but not quite.
Maybe I'm the only one that hates anoraks...pulloever? Eww.

Smocks are really heavy though and the stitching is not that great. Better off with an Arktis one or SASS kit smock.
Be careful of their Mutharucka as well - the bar frame ends stick out at the bottom of the pack and are not rounded, easy to cut yourself on the sharp edges.

Thanks for the heads up on the motharucka.
A buddy of mine has the CP anorak, he likes it. I was surprised to hear that it actually repels water, but it does. Plus, scotchguard is good ****.
He says the LCF is high, which surprised me, however he is pretty switched on-for an armoured guy ;)
But at the end of the day, we are officers, what do we know.

Huh...I've always loathed the anorak concept, but hell, if it's good for armoured, it must have some redeeming qualities...;)
