PA-15 Pistol Question

How come the French PA-15 pistol was replaced by the Beretta M92F?

Im asking this becouse its 15 year production ended in 1990, And it had a strong construction holding a 15 round magazine.

So why replace somthing that has similar capabilities?

"Strong construction" and 15 round mags are only 2 reason why you would want a certain pistol. Think about others and you could probably answer your own question.
