Sponsoring A Child Question

Anyone here sponsor a child? I tried looking for a comprehensive site about all the different organizations out there but cant find one. I want the most amount of my dollar to go towards the child.

The wife and I sponsor a girl in Madagascar through the Christian Children's Fund. We did the same kind of research and found they passed on quite a bit to the kid. Of course the problem is that you can't send actual $ to the child because somebody at the foreign post office will simply take it. But we send school supplies, candy etc. We get back some really cool lookin' handwritten letters & drawings - mostly about planting rice - but our $ seems to be helping with getting her a basic education.

Use the agency that promises your child does not worship a false idol. You don't want to be sponsoring a sinner.
