Newbie, Hi To All

Just a quick hello to all, the pictures are what lead me to this site.
Well a little about me:
I'm 30 years old and a member of the UKs Special Forces, I didn't deploy to Afganistan due to my current injury, hence wasting lots of time on the internet at the moment. As you see my nick is "Gunny" due to me being a qualified Armourer and weapons instructor. I welcome any questions and will be pleased to help out. If i'm away alot, don't ask!

I don't see why people have any doubts about gunny having been a walt, it's all in the "don't ask, cause i can't tell ~giggle giggle~" ways of a poser, like he only brings up having been something but if your were to ask for details you'd hear the usual excuses about it being classified "Above Top Secret" heh.

Going into work as a contractor before reapplying and successfully completing US SF training by late that Year (Contractor Work SUCKS, ask any of them and you'll know what I mean). anyway, demobilised in 2004 not long there after an injury
To my knee whilst on parachute training, dreams since then were shattered and after a period of Unemployment only broken by the occassional stint working as a bouncer for a few exclusive clubs around a few of the biggest names in the Industry I had to
Give up on the American Dream, that my bitch of a Wife left me during this hard time was shattering and faced with shame I couldn't bring myself to come back here and face you all with your accusations when my career was in the can. But well whatcan

Up to about 2008 I started back into Contractor but this Time for Black Water, a few of the Guys I trained with back in my short stint with US SF who since went into Delta managed to land me the job and I've been eternally grateful ever since, BROTHERS

Personally whilst I resent the idea of people walting to take credit and rewards they did not earn (Eg: Frauding Systems, Earning thanks etc), I think when someone does this in their own little world it is not worth worrying about...
If he came up to me and started telling me about being a Ranger or whatever it is, and treated me like an idiot then maybe I'd take the bait and call him out on it... But on his own page? In his own little world? I just cannot... He is not harming anyone or stealing any glory or such he is just self deluding and that inspires pity more than anything out of me..

I just wonder sometimes if People take the whole idea of anti-walting way too seriously when at times its not that big of a deal (and particulary when half of us have not even served anyway to necessarily take that personal offence).. If this was that donkey parading with SAS badges, wings etc and decorations he did not earn during a serious solemn occassion like that walt caught out in the UK then sure, crucify him for it... But this guy is personally for me not worth my time and secondly not really doing anything...

Maybe there gets a point where our own obsessiveness about what others do in their own life and how they enjoy it (Read: Airsofters) begins to reach a level of sadness also

I would say yes.... Those other ones are relatively harmless, its those who know its make believe and dont try and decieve others into thinking its real that as far as I can tell are 'okay' (Lets face it, what Games do kids play? Or Role Playing Games etc?)
Those who immitate service Members for awards, recognition, etc, those who actively attempt to decieve actual service members and gain benefits they were not entitled to they are the ones I think which are the problems... (IMHO)

(Note: I say this as someone whom over the weekend took part in a laser tag game, People wearing all sorts of uniforms (including myself just whatever I could get that would work 'alright'), I think all of them knew well it was a game, didn't wish to draw attention to the factor of what they were doing, and overall were pretty good Guys. That to me atleast is an important difference often, its seen as fun but its not out to reap on others valor or achievements)
