Anyone have one? Could you tell me how you like them? I want one bad, but california legal is the best i can do, i become a dual citizen in a few weeks. I dont know if i should save my money for when i move to Washington (which is how long i dont know) and get the SA58 FAL G1. I dont wanna be gunless for a year!

I don't know much about California-legal FALs. Can they be converted to accept standard detachable magazines after you've moved to another state?
Part of me says it's best to save your money and get something better once you've moved to Washington, but on the other hand, the way gun laws might be headed, you might want to get what you can while it's still legal. Tough call.

Tough call.
Most definately. My understanding, you don't want to have a non-California legal firearm in California, especially when your a citizen of that state.
Maybe look for another choice, a firearm that is legal in both states and not "specifically" a California Legal hack job only one.

I'd wait. Maybe buy something else. There are no restrictions on precision rifles here in CA, so that's one area where we don't suck. (Exception going to AB50 - No .50 BMG anything, and also no night vision rifle-mounted optics, apparently, though rather loosely enforced.)

They make those Entreprise Arms rifles a short drive from my house. Apparently they're hit or miss.
They are semi auto, but if you really want a comparable rifle, buy an M1A/M14. Difference for CA is that they've got a muzzle brake on 'em instead of the traditional flash suppressor. Detatchable mags, so if you've got 20rd'ers, you're set.

I just like the style and the way they shoot, im close minded haha. But if i could get my hands on a nice M1A/M14 im sure i would be happy too.

I agree with you. I like the layout of a FAL more than an M14. But insofar as a private purchase of a semi auto rifle in California, the M14 is the only way to go, IMHO. I used to sell these things, and it's kind of depressing seeing real rifles being altered and neutered for use in this state.

Yeah California really is depressing when it comes to firearms.

Believe me, I know. I wish I didn't. THere isn't enough booze in the world to wash that away. :-(

The drug runners up in my area have all sorts of nice firearms. The criminals seem to get away with them.

Up this way you dont even dare go hiking up in the hills for fear of comming across numerous weed plantations. Most of them are ****y trapped or have armed guards.

He's in the green triangle, probably Humboldt county. If you want a nice, tactical 7.62 in Cali, why don't you get a Springfield Scout Squad or a SOCOM? They're functional, handy, and accurate, and they're way better than a cali legal FAL. Then just get a DSA when you move out of state.

I've come across a weed farm before... some "Hispanic" guys ended up coming in behind me, then high tailed it after I nicely waved to them. Guess the camo and rifle threw them off. p-)

Yep green triangle alright humboldt county, This place would be nice if it wasnt for the numerous junkies, homelss, hippies, and more junkies that wondered around Eureka. There is over 750 homeless in a town of only 28k thats insane. The mexican gang population and asian gang poplulation is getting out of hand here. Yeah josh i kinda decided to just hold off on the FNFAL untill i get out of this State.
