Great pics nevertheless. What is the standard sidearm of the FDF? Looks like a Sig Sauer in the above pics.

Ok, this question might sound a bit strange...
do scandinavian troops serving in islamic regions face prejudices by the local population because of the cross (which of course symbolise christianity) in their flags? Was that ever a problem?

I like this one... I wonder what they would say if i brought that to
the yearly safety check here in Sweden.

But you cant help feeling sorry for them, such a messed up country.

ISAf is doing a great job helping restore security.

R.i.p. all the fallen.

In Finland, mostly the FN HP-DA, but on missions abroad, Sig Sauer P226.

Some countries are in Afghanistan to fight a war, Finland is not one of them. The main purpose with the desert uniform is not really the camo, but that the fabric is thinner and better suited for the climate.

I see norwegians. Was this the medevac from a real battle or (most likely) an exersize? Anyone got the story behind this?

I wonder if the next Afghani car buyer will get a CARFAX onthis ride. Slightly used runabout van only driven to and from the Mosque ( through a minefield).
