makes you wonder why he didn't just keep the minivan doors closed... was something out of a circus clown car once they were opened.

I think they were like 20 mexicans in the minivan. How the hell did they do that?

It's a pretty funny video, but you can't blame him. He was only one guy and there were about 20 individuals he had to deal with. His best bet would have been to just apprehend the driver and call for back up right away.

Not enough agents working that border.

Prime example

At least fourteen illegal immigrants in that van alone, and I may have miscounted

I counted 13. Funny, because the other night I got 13 illegals. The first guy I busted said there was only like 6 people total in the vehicle, so I called dispatch and told them to advise BP that we had 6 UD's, next thing you know, 13 come out!!!

Very funny indeed!

rofl

But if you look closely enough it seems there is another vehicle in front of the van.

a big roll of duck tape and ba few laps around the vehicle would have solved the problem of them getting out - hehe

Sorry to dig up such an old thread but I got resent this video in an email......"so what Bravo, why did you dig up such an old thread????"

Well as some of you know I've been a police officer for just over 2 years now, well anyhow this year I've had the pleasure to work with the Border Patrol agent who video taped this and keeps running back and forth. He's a real great guy, and he told me the whole story about how it came to be taped, how it came to public light (it was only supposed to be passed to a select few friends of his, but you know how that goes sometimes), and the outcome.

The important part.......the outcome. All of the illegals that ran from the van were caught.....off camera of course.

The first time I met him I was a back up officer for him. He attempted to pull over a vehicle, eventually several subjects bailed from the vehicle, he chased after them on foot, and one of them popped off a couple rounds at him. Unfortunately we were only arrest one guy.

Second time I ran into him was during a high risk stop of a stolen car, he was driving by and stopped to back me up. Wasn't til about the 4-5th time I ran into him that I was talking to him about the video, he was like "oh god" and spilled the beans.

Haven't ran into him in a couple weeks, but he could just be on a new schedule or on a new assignment.
