What are you looking for...Brown Water Navy...or coastal "Market Time" ,..or Yankee Station reading?

Yankee station is what im most interested, but a comprehensive history of all naval action during the conflict would be best.

thanks, but im more interested in operations of the blue water navy, but a book that talks about both is also good.

Over the Beach by Zalin Grant

Sailors to the end (Forrestal fire) Gregory Freeman

Tonkin Gulf by Eugene G Windchy - 1971 ...Very good book.

I just moved..and have all books in boxes....will try to find more

If you're serious about your history...and more importantly...wealthy:| , you should try the famed "cruise books" from that era... I have the USS Oriskany, and I think the USS Ticonderoga somewhere...Example below.

i have 2 cruise books from the Independence (CVA-62) Those books are more like highschool yearbooks than anything else though, i just want a comprehensive history.
