Hi there I'm new on this board, I'm writing an article on Special Operations Forces (such as Delta, DEVGRU, etc) and I saw some pictures on here, allegedly of DEVGRU and Delta (although I am convinced they are private military contractors). However a friend of mine pointed out that they seemed to be wearing 5.11 Tactical vests and khakis. I was wondering if Delta and/or DEVGRU used these products. If anyone has any other information on anything to do with these Spec Ops units I would be really grateful. Thanks.

Are you even allowed to write about the d3lt4 fr0c3? well on topic

-

There is no way anybody in here will know what they are wearing since nobody here is Delta force nor DEVGRU. And if they are they are not gonna tell anybody. And how can he tell that it is 5.11? could be a pair of well commercial SEARS khaki pants?

They wear hawaiian shirts, OP surf shorts and flip flops.

dude... those can buy and wear what ever the heck they want to complete the mission.

no need to write an article about it.

In answer to your question Exer, if you look on the 5.11 website they do match up to the photos. And in answer to SMGLee I am not just writing about what they wear (which funnily enough most people seem to find more interesting than the actual history of the unit).

whoever this friend of yours said was just pulling your leg. We have absolutely no idea what they wear. it could be just plain levi jeans and flannel shirt.

Okay after wasting 7 mins of my life i can with 60% chance say that its just regular clothing... Then again it may be 5.11 who knows. I cant tell 100% with those small pictures.

- How are you gonna access information on where DEVGRU and Delta force is operating or HAS operated?

Have a look at the pictures, he only mentioned them because he's a shooting enthusiast and he was quite pleased with himself that he had a pair of the same type they had.

Post picture of the similarities because i dont see any. The vest collar doesnt fit the 5.11 and so on and so on.

Well saying "After wasting seven minutes of my life I finally found out..." is something I'd consider a teenager to say. But hey, maybe I came on the wrong website to find out information, seeing as no one seems to know a great deal on anything to do with them.

Shep, at the end of the day who cares what they are wearing? They can wear what they want so they do.

Unless you're playing dressing up, it don't matter.
