I think that the last two elections saw the very beginning of the alternate media culture - in fact a couple of the biggest stories from the last election were direct results of blog culture (i.e. CBS news vetting the Bush papers with their "experts" - then it took the bloggers about 15 minutes to expose them as forgeries). And this election will have full-blown youtube goodness like this - it's gonna be a hoot.
