usually buy the OD green ones from the website,
it comes with the lil' clear UA logo on the chest.
and this funky (black and white) label on the bottom left that says 'tactical' then the size

just bought another one from the marine corps uniform site.
this one is kinda the same, but has an ega on the inside of the coller
and the funky label is less funky, because its (green and black) instead of (black and white.)

thing is though the sleeves are all short, like a wierd short.
way shorter than the ones i bought from the UA site....

anyone run into the same issue? both are mediums, but the ega one, fits friggin wierd, so i wanna return it for a Large, but im afraid the sleeves will still be retarded.

ill try and post a pic later.

I thought they weren't allowed to use UA clothing or did I just hear wrong? Something about it melting.

Think they are still authorised for garrison and PT only.

I have a feeling that the UA arms are short because the rest of the shirt is usually covered by body armor. So incase of shinging from fire only very little UA surface is exposed.. My shirts are the same wierd short arm shortness. If you want regular length get the loose UA shirts..

I heard a report, (pretty sure it's true) that if you're wearing ua, and you hit a fiery roadside bomb, the ua clothing melts, and covers the wounds and takes time for medics to remove that goo, just to bandage you up.

It can get far worse than that. If it melts, there's a pretty good chance it will actually fuse with your skin. They won't be able to remove it, without stripping the skin altogether ::shudders::

This is pretty close to the truth. Underarmor and ALL similar clothing is not allowed when "outside the wire" in combat zones. There were a number of injuries where the shirt melted into the skin and had to be surgically removed, even when the person wearing it was not otherwise seriously hurt (ie. kinetic or ballistic damage). It just takes a lot of heat, and if that heat penetrates your vest to cause burns it will melt the shirt to your skin.

Nasty stuff.

very
same thing here in canada.
I won't even wear it when I'm garatroopering. just nasty what materials like that can do to your body.
