You will be happy to know that the US Army reactivated the 193rd Infantry Brigade at Fort Jackson, South Carolina on the 31st of Janury 2007! And yes, they are wearing the 193rd (Bayonet) shoulder patch!
For those of you who went through basic in the 1st Combat Training Brigade in the past, it is now the 193rd.

Hey Hellfish 6, funny we were talking about seperate brigades just awhile back and now one has been brought back! Hhhmm, I wonder if DA will bring back the 197th Inf Bde?

that is correct Erik! As is the 171st and 165th (which the 165th never wore a Bde SSI, as they were apart of the 83rd Inf Div. The 165th now has a Bde SSI and DUI.) The 171st was in Alaska back in the 1960's with the 172nd Inf Bde.
