There is a standing joke in Norway that we are secretly in the race on getting the first man to Mars. Just so we can put up an office for the payment of landing fee's. (that would be a shock for the Americans, cause the fee wound be cheap. If you can afford to go there, you can afford the fee of landing there.)

Today, the national average is $1.812 for regular, up about 30 cents from last year this day.
Gas prices vary between $1.60-$1.80 here with cheaper prices on Fort Campbell.

I’m hoping the gas prices will exceed $10, so we can get rid of the damn “RAANER” culture :bash:

How come the price is so fluxating within the US, between the states?
Difference in taxes or other costs, or just that areas with high population gets charged more?

Taxes are different from state to state. Other states (California for example) have special additives in their gas that jacks up the price and then there is just good old supply and demand. Gas is at least 20-30 cents cheaper in Arizona than Nevada and if Jack Mehoff is only paying $1.73 it's about 50 cents cheaper in the great Mormon country of Utah. Gas is on average 20 cents higher in California then Nevada as well.
When I went to Brazil, they were using Alcohol, that stuff smells like arse, but it works...

Most of the stations around here (Ohio) are charging $1.79 and up for 87 octane. I happened to pass by a station that was charging $1.51 and thought it would be wise to fill up.b
