Hi everyone,

I'm looking for handsignals that are used in the Military. I came across a couple of them in the vid about the British scouts, and now I want to know/learn more of them...
I looked for a thread about it, but with no succes.

I dont know if different armed forces use different signals but I think it will be pretty much the same...

And If someno will find any, this thread could be moved to the Photos/vids section

^ I knew the minute I saw the subject that I was going to find those in this thread. :)

Here's some I remember (FDF):
Fist up = Attention
Open hand up = Stop
Swing fist = Gather around
Swing your hand to the side = Take cover
Pump fist = Move, faster
Both hands extended to your sides = Spread out

That about covers the basic stuff.

Some more signals here (http://www.tpub.com/seabee/6-49.htm).

Take a quiz here (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/the_unit/quiz/).

And best of all, use google yourself.

Finnish Defence Forces squad and combat pair hand signals, from the 2006 Soldier's Manual. Translations by me.
