It's not one I'm teaching. I'm working towards my MA degree, and I have weekend classes during the school year. We go from 5-10pm on Friday night and all day on Saturday. Fun fun fun! :D

Last week I spend one day standing on a field with an American, (we had a
job experience week then). An MA takes 4 years here, according to him it was 5.5
years in US, or well, atleast in the field I/he is in but then they didnīt study exactly
the same things either as we do.
I donīt have much left on my first MA (intend to get two, one in history and one
in archaelogy). Learning is fun, hopefully they want me as a doctoral student
then as well. My University has a pretty intense exchange program with US
Universities (hence the American standing on the field, one of my Professors
is American too). Hopefully I can do some of my doctoral student time in US.
Would be fun I think. When I become old I of course intend to be like this man
http://www.kamikazebrothers.com/images/indiana%20jones.gif
@ hank. How many years have you studied?
4 years undergraduate and 3 at law school. 7 total. I took off a few years in between and worked. Straight through would suck. Farmgirl, is 5 years right on an MA? I think 2 is more realistic if you go full time. Am I right? Part time takes longer of course, but 2 is more common I thought.

Itīs 2 years for an MA here, or 80 points (80 weeks), but to get the degree one
must have 80 points of something else as well, so MA = 160 points/weeks. If
one studies 80 points history and 80 points archaelogy it becomes 160 points,
and two degrees. Thatīs how Iīm doing it. Feels nice to have. Although I wonīt
get rich on it. The state gives economic aids/loans for 6 years of University students,
so itīs quite nice.
The economic aid for a doctoral student is usually between $2400-2800 each month
so I hope to become that. If not, it would suck hard. Donīt want to become a
teacher for unmotivated kids.

I think it depends on the program. I've been working at mine for three years, but if I had gone full time I could have been done in 2-3 depending on the research requirements. I can't go full time, so it will take me at least another year, but that's okay. It's easier to pay for a class at a time! :D

No, its not. And that is funny as h**l. There is a big firm in ATL with Fisher as the first name, so its double funny.
I did not read the Firm but my first assignment is to take a private plane to the Cayman's and drop off some files. Next, we're supposed to go scube diving. Can't wait, should be fun.

Cough Cough - HAIL TO THE VICTORS VALIANT HAIL TO THE CONQUERING HEROES HAIL HAIL TO MICHIGAN THE LEADERS AND BEST!
My four years at UMich taught me a few things -
1) North Campus is a black hole of derivatives, integrals, and long long hours of studying;
2) Football Saturday starts Friday morning, 8am, and doesn't end til you've got someone praying to the porcelin gods in at least every toilet of the house;
3) The naked mile doesn't JUST have to be a mile...why not check your email in the lab or do squat thrusts in the quad?
hahaha, good times

Forgot to add -
After going through an additional four years of med school, I have to commend you hank for a job well done. Being dedicated and following through with more education isn't always easy, and isn't always fun, but it pays off in the end.
Congrats

Congrats Hank.
A little joke for ya...
It seems that there's a fence between Heaven and Hell, which had fallen into disrepair. St. Peter sought out Satan.
"Hey, Satan, it's your turn to fix the fence. The big guy says it looks awful. Get it done."
"I like the way it looks," Satan answered. "I'm not doing anything."
"You have to," said St. Peter. "It's your duty. You signed a contract when we built the fence, and you are obligated to repair it."
"You think I care about that contract?" asked Satan. "You should know better than that. I said I am not doing anything, and if you don't leave me alone, I may just tell you what you can do with that contract."
"If you don't make the repairs," St. Peter said angrily, "The law will make you. If you don't live up to your obligations under the contract, we'll sue you."
"Sue me?" Satan couldn't help laughing. "Where are YOU gonna get a lawyer?"

Here is a great lawyer joke: (to show that I get as good as I give)
Difference between a whore and a lwyer?
Whore stops f**king you when you're dead!
Ba-dum ching! Thank you very much.
60 lawyers at bottom of ocean = a good start! Love that one also.
I'm glad to see that we have OSU and Mich people here. My dad is an Iowa alum and for my money the Big Ten schools are the fines public institutions in the country. I can't handle the cold weather but Mich is my second favoite college football team. I'm of course glad that UT pwns OSU and Mich in bowl games, a-hem, but I still like Big Ten football!
Thanks for the kind words all. Everyone here should do whatever makes them happy and never forget that if you try you can succeed. I did not always want to go to law school but I'm glad I did and never worried about the outcome, just the effort.
Keep up the lawyer jokes, I love them.
