it's an okay knife but i'm curious what you guys carry, the paradox is my work knife and everday carry now that i am out of school for the summer and alabama has great folding knife laws but i want something a little easier to use and with a better locking system. i'm just not sure where to look. suggestions and pictures are very welcome.

Always a Leatherman Wave:

and when in the field i bring along my Fällkniven A1:

I also have a BUCK Crosslock attached with Paracord in a pocket of my uniform, but failed to find a picture of it.
The Leatherman Wave and Fällkniven A1 are absolutely brilliant. Especially the Wave. Durable, reliable and just your basic needed tools.

Used to use a fixed blade gerber, forget the model, loved it, but far too bulky to be fumbling with.

get caught by the cops in the UK with any kind of knife and you're in big trouble.
Altho, i do have a Swiss Army Knife Victorinox, but for above reasons i don't carry it around with me...

as far as i know, yeah. As far as the law is concerned you have no reason for a knife in a public place unless you are going to commit a crime. They have knife amnesties all the time where ppl hand in their 'street knives'.

In the street it is!!
Put it this way, you'd have difficulty explaining it to the cops if they stopped you and found a 10 inch switch blade on you and then told 'em it was for peeling oranges!
A few years back a head teacher got stabbed to death outside the school gates by some scumbag carrying a combat knife, since then the laws are pretty tight on knives.

This is paranoia... Are screwdrivers alos forbiden or only knifes?

if you are unlucky enough to be stopped and searched by the cops and they found something on you like a knife or screwdriver i reckon they would make an informed decision on whether you are criminally minded or not.
A screwdriver in your pocket when you're in a club/bar on a saturday night is probably going to look bad!

I think you are allowed to carry in public a folding knife with a blade of not more than 3 inches in length and it must not lock. The in public bit is the difficult part but it usually means anywhere there are people that might take offence or be alarmed, get caught with anything in a sweep outside a nightclub and they could pinch you for possesion of an offensive weapon. I wander about with a six inch fixed blade strapped to my belt when I am mending gear and no one bats an eyelid even when I am in the sandwich shop.

I usually carry an RPG-7 in my car so that if I ever encounter APCs I shouldn't have any problems.

Sometimes I'll keep a stinger in my trunk so that way I can deal with helicopters.

I usually carry this weapon around where ever I go.
If I run out of ammunition I can always switch to:

or
http://world.guns.ru/smg/uzi.jpg
Along with that I usually carry this knife:

so I can fight off terrorists and make dinner at the same time ;)
