Please post any close up pics of Secret Service lapel badges, or any info if they have changed over the years.
Thanks in advance.

Please don't. That would be a USSS opsec issue. They have many different ones they use for security reasons. Thanks.

I may be wrong but I thought that the lapel pins were/are used for identification purposes when in crowd situations. To alert anyone to which badges are used could allow them to impersonate agents for whatever purpose.

I wouldn't post anything about those badges, although they usually only use a design once, it would be best not to show past ones.

I'm not an American, and yet i'm suspicious as to why you want to know if they change / exact details.

I'm going to go with not posting any images on this one.

Huh? Those lapel badges are so small you can't see them unless you are within 4 feet of the guy.

Walk around the White House or US Capitol and you will see plenty of guys with those lapel badges. As far as I could tell all they had was the USSS logo.

If you really want a photo of one go to the USSS website and ask them. It is a possible opsec issue and peeps don't take too kindly to that around here.

Or maybe he can go to the USSS Website (http://www.secretservice.gov/) and see their logo on the front page ;)

Ok, 1'st no one said anything about the USSS logo, 2nd what he is asking for is the ID pins used during operations, those are not of the USSS logo, they are a small ID device that agents wear to ID themselves and each other at a glance, they change the design and colours each time it's used, and yes they are OPSEC restricted

Muttbutt is correct. They do have different ones for each situation, as they also have totally different one to ID other LEO's that are not USSS, those too change with each event. Gathering close up photos of these pins would not be helpful to them. They do have a standard pin that has the five pointed star badge in it.

i remember when i went to a campaign rally in my home city, it was extremely easy to spot the "ss" guys, as it was a 90+ day and overcast, and they were all in suits, and sunglasses... yea they all had one of 3 different pins on their lapel, looked like some cheapo's they they picked up at a dollar store or something, they were all just white shapes...
