Isn't that camo DPM? or similar to it?
Why r they using a Diemaco C7 in a ship boarding op? But I guess that it's their personal choice, I would've prefered an MP5.

Dutch forces wear cammo which is almost identical to British DPM, perhaps slightly brighter in colour when new.
Many forces are shifting towards 5.56mm for CQB using frangible ammo - 9mm often shows excesive penetration in a confined environment hence the use of controlled penetration 5.56mm instead. A similar example was the FRG Royal Marines Post last week - boarding ships with SA80s.

And for desert ops, the Dutch have US 3-Colour desert cammies.

Love the grappeling hook gun thingy! :D
The MCT sometimes use Diemaco's C7(a1)'s for trainings.
I don't no why, but it is the Marines primairy weapon.
Camo answer:
The Dutch Army and Airforce use britisch DPM (sort of, but some times the use britisch stuff like a jacket)
The Dutch Marines use the American camo and Britisch camo (a big mix)

A big mix indeed. But I can't really complaing about the different camos for different units. There wouldn't be any argument about which unit they r. Also do the Army and AirForce use US 3 colour desert or Brit' Desert DPM?

THANK YOU
Excellent Pics. woot
The dutch use 4 kinds of camo for the army white for artic, dpm for woodlands very much simular too what the british wear but some brighter in its colors, desert camo american pattern, and jungle camo see link.
http://www.vredesnaam.com/kledingjun.html
This jungle camo is not issued to marines they use american bdu woodland for woodland and jungle invirements.
The dutch also tested flecktarn whitch is in use with the germans back in the 80's but didn't like it because afther washing it its nightvisebility increased. I don't know if the dutch or the germans developed flecktarn, but heard a rumor that the dutch developed it.

Thanks, I had never heard of Dutch jungle clothing before. Nice cammies though.
And Flecktarn was most certainly developed by Germany. Belgian Air Commandos used a lighter variant of Flecktarn too, but that is currently being phased out in favor of the Jigsaw-pattern.

ARE the BBE the primary SF??
That are not BBE. They are Army Commando's (KCT).
BBE doens't use (green) Diemaco C8A1's and don't weare the normal army camoflage.
BBE is a special navy unit from the marine corps. They only do SWAT operations for the police. And only in the Netherlands.
BBE is formed by 'normal' marines (but special trained), so if they are not at work as BBE, they will operate with there original unit as marine all around the world.
So army commado's are the primary SF. They are the only army unit thats is trained for all kinds of warfare, like urbanwarfare, jungle, mountain, swamp, and CT. They are also the only army unit that has real snipers.
The navy has also some special units from the marine corps, like the BBE (Bijzondere Bijstands Eenheid) SBS (Special Boat Service) and mountainleaders.
The MP has also a SF unit, called BSB (brigade speciale beveiligingsopdrachten)
Some people say that the normal marine corps and 'luchtmobile birgade' are SF also, but that isn't true. They are just hard trained infantrie.

i have seen this pic before, and recon the left commando to be my former high school geography teacher. heard from people he had been in the special forces, then found this photo.
since i graduated high school last year, and found it kind of strange to ask him if this was him, a friend of mine might ask him.

The BBE doing SWAT work? Are you sure? Isn't that the job of the arrestatie-teams? BBE is more CT than SWAT in my opinion...
BTW, they say that entering the marine corps is harder than entering the luchtmobiel (that's what they told me in the navy anyway). Apparantly the medical for the marines is more strict than for the luchtmobiel, it might be true for their training too (I dunno, somebody might want to correct me on this).

Yes, BBE does CT too. But they take in when the AT's can't handle the situation anymore.
The marine corps is harder then luchtmobiel. Many kids that drop out at the marine training try to get in luchtmobiel. The marines are similar to the army commando's, but they are normal infanterie. They work in large groups, sometimes 30 men ore more. Army commado's work in little groups, of max 8 man. They do the more sercret missions, like sabotage, long distance recon, ambushes, and rescue missions.

as i dont quite agree with you that the marines are similar to the army commandos (kct), something i'd like to add is that the army commando training is more focussed on mental breakdown. ofcourse the training is extremely hard, and many fail because of injuries, but you also have to be mentally very strong to pass.
