Are you referring to the "Poppy" on his collar? because I don't see anyone else wearing the decoration/insignia that is on his left breast pocket.

The red poppy is a symbol of remembrance in commonwealth countries.

As for the insignia itself the good folks at Army.ca would probably be able to answer that pretty quickly.
