To secure peace, prepare for war – Paradox Entertainment announces Hearts of Iron 2
Award-winning Swedish games developer Paradox Entertainment today announced a sequel to the most appreciated World War 2 strategy game ever made.

Today Swedish computer games developer Paradox Entertainment announced that they for some time have been working on a sequel to the award-winning and highly renowned title Hearts of Iron. Hearts of Iron is a grand strategy game depicting World War 2 in a real-time environment. It was celebrated as a pioneer among World War 2 strategy games.

Hearts of Iron has been praised among in-depth gamers as well as strategy lovers and was deemed “one of the most rewarding strategy experiences ever seen” by the press.

Hearts of Iron 2 presents tons of new features including a redesigned map and interface, updated battle mechanics, re-worked technology tree, fine-tuned diplomacy and trade system as well as gameplay details like co-operative multiplayer. The game will also include, apart from the four major campaigns, battle scenarios optimized for one or two evenings of gaming, as well as different multiplayer settings.

“There are not many teams that can deliver a game of the scope that Hearts of Iron presents” says Fredrik W. Lindgren, Head of Sales and Marketing at Paradox Entertainment. “We know we can, and this time we have raised the bar. Hearts of Iron 2 aims at being no less than the ultimate World War 2 strategy game experience.”

Hearts of Iron 2 will be in stores on most major markets in the beginning of 2005.
