I knew that 75% of the Earth's surface would eventually come in handy for something.

Okay... Great... Really smart...
Now... I AM GONNA FILL FIRE INTO MY GAS TANK.
IT'S USELESS. MAYBE A BBQ GRILL. WE ALREADY HAVE FIRE. IN MASSES.

Will this turn South Pacific natives into the Oil Sheiks of the future?
On a more serious note, how much energy does it require to generate the radio waves?

Check this out, this is pretty amazing if it's real.
John Kanzius invented a radio wave machine in an attempt to kill cancer. While trying to desalinize salt water with the machine, the water started burning.
John Kanzius’ primary interest is in using this radio frequency nanotechnology to cure cancer. This Hydrogen-from-Salt Water discovery is but an interesting if not annoying detour for him.

Repo.
Anyhow I think the cost to run the radio wave thingy would out weigh the sea water.

you mean besides its ability to sustain life?

Thats no problem at all! Just hook it up to a diesel electric generator ... *doh!*

In the experiment they use a Stirling engine: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stirling_engine
If one can feed radio wave generator and pumping via a set of stirling engines and then have a net output of energy, this is a great advancement for humanity.
