WHO the hell supports such murderous people like bin Laden?

Zbigniew Brzezinski: "Regret what? That secret operation (the CIA backing of Islamic Fundamentalist Terrorists) was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap and you want me to regret it?"

Osama bin Laden: "The Western regimes and the government of the US bear the blame for what might happen. If their people do not wish to be harmed inside their very own countries, they should seek to elect governments that are truly representative of them and that can protect their interests. **[2 (http://www.geocities.com/RepresentativePress/binLadenphoto.html?20072#bin%20Laden)](This part not aired on ABC)
Osama bin Laden: "This is my message to the American people. I urge them to find a serious administration that acts in their interest and does not attack people and violate their honor and pilfer their wealth." Quoting Osama bin Laden May, 1998

Brzezinski, in a 1998 interview with the French news paper Le Nouvel Observateur, said that, contrary to the official version of events, CIA aid to the mujahedeen guerrillas began six months before the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. It was intended to provoke the invasion, he said. Brzezinski boasted of “drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap.”
When asked about the wisdom of supporting Islamic fundamentalism, Brzezinski offered this chilling dismissal: “What is more important in world history? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet Empire?”

A: Since when was Osama Bin Laden a paratrooper, you imbecile?

B: Aiding the Mujahedeen does not automatically equate to being reponsible for the formation of the Taliban and Al Qaeda. That's like saying England was responsible for the formation of the KKK.

The Carter administration is arguably one of the worse in American history for a number of reason, but this isn't one of them.

Hmmm, looking at who this guy was, he did a lot. He attended prestigious universities and currently teaches as a foreign policy professor at John Hopkins University . He participated and in some sense shaped bits of history. He is the co-founder of the Trilateral Commission. How is being part of those think tanks a bad thing? Only highly educated/influential people are accepted into such organizations. This guy has done a lot with his life, so WTF have you done with yours?

Brzezinski is obsessed with Russia. You can almost feel hate in his voice when he mentions Russia. In this 2002 lecture he speaks of NATO expansion into Eastern Europe.

to those who insult me, and defend Brzezinski and say hes nothing more then an educated man... im digging up some of his quotes, from his book... then you will say its not true, or he never had power to do anything... basically just fabricate a reason why he was great,

Delusion:
incorrigibility (not changeable by compelling counterargument or proof to the contrary)

sidenote: he was hand picked by rockafeller to form "the trilateral commission"....

“I encouraged the Chinese to support Pol Pot. I encouraged the Thai to help the Khmer Rouge. The question was how to help the Cambodian people. Pol Pot was an abomination. We could never support him. But China could.”

Says the man who thinks Osama bin Laden was an officer in the Pakistani Army. I'm surprised you haven't recieved a shiny new DAOTW award (does Ngati still give those out?).

edit: do you even know the name of the orgazination that the majority of the Islamic Extremists (including Major bin Laden) were a part of during the war in Afghanistan?

He is right, Mujahideen was a seperate entity entirely, the majority of the old Mujs went off with the Northern Alliance or other various factions. Taliban had alot of fanatics from all over the muslim world and had alot of money to work with.

That being said, I dont agree with much that Brzezinski did.

They aren't a sompletely independent entity. Mujahedeen just split up after the war. More moderate formed the Northern Alliance while mroe radikal like Hekmatyar joined the Taliban. A significant amount of western help to Hekmatyar (he was ISI's prefered afghani warlord) traveled to the hands of Taliban either. Bin Laden had also his hands on Stingers and CIA-manuals, he was the leader of logictik organization which funneled the weapons from ISI to Hekmatyar.
