do all of you think US Forces will return to use different types of tiger stripe camo uniform?

you may notice that US Airforce is now testing a new style tiger stripe camo.

There's no telling. Camo patterns are changing faster than I can keep up with anyway!

Not if we can help it (from an AF member).

Other ideas from the uniform presentation are nice, suede no polish boots, no iron uniform (but BDU's aren't suppose to be ironed either...), but enough with tiger stripe - and we all know that the blue isn't going to make the cut.

I dont quite understand the reasoning behind these new USAF uniforms. Wouldnt it be simplar and more effective for the government to just issue them standard combats?

Cheers

The reasoning is a distinctive uniform for the Air Force. Something to entice young members of society to join our ranks. Then you can wear your BDU pants to the hip-hop show!

Personally I'm happy with BDU's (might make a few construction changes, but hey) - and if we wait long enough (a few more years) the Army will have a new 'BDU' and low and behold the AF will have a distinctive uniform.

But, I'm also a fan of the 25 mission cap.

25 mission cap

Could you explain this?

I do like the idea of distinctive BDUs though, just not the blue tiger stripes.

Also I am curious about why the Marines, who seem to be on the short end of the stick as far as military funding goes, would put their money into a new style of BDU (MARPAT).

Maybe BDU research, development, and manufacture is not that expensive.

The 25 (or 50) mission cap was the 'look' that the standard AAF noggin gear took on after ~25 (or 50) missions wearing a hat with headphones on. Mind you this was WW2.
