gaz beat to my first choice but my sloppy second is . . . . . drum roll please . . . . . .

1) M3 Grant the coffin for seven brothers - butt ugly but pretty effective early in the war - it was our first effort and lead us to the Sherman - overall it filled its role well - was quite a shock to the PZ IIIJ commanders in North Africa when it arrived!

2) PZ IV - not very heralded but a real workhorse that did the bulk of teh Russian Tank killing simply becuase there were more PZ IVs than any other German tank

3) PZ IIIL - the highest expression of the pre-war fast light Panzer - too bad the Germans got caught up in big and heavy

4) Last for me is the Sherman - awful, ineffective against a lot of its competition but a real fighter - without this tank and its multiple use capabilities we might not have prevailed - weren't pretty but got hte job done - hankie likey

Modern

M1A2 hands down - Leopard, Challenger, MErkava are great but M1 has kicked more tail than any of those so for experience points it get the nod. Might not be as sexy as Leo or Challie but brute strenght and #s often prevail.

For IFV I'll throw in that I thinkg the Warrior is sexy.
