Terrorism in Russia show

Did anyone see the film on HBO last night about Terrorism in Russia? If so, tell me about this "Alpha" team in the Russian military. don't post me a link to info about them, I can do that, tell me what you think and have ehard about them!

I thought 'Alpha' would be a special police unit for CQB & HRT...

Alfa was created in the 70's and belongs to FSB. It managed a lot of hostage incidents and lost 16 men in its history. Alpha took part in the storming Amin Palace. Its sister unit Vympel protects nuclear power plants nowadays (but only of course). FSB Alfa is Russia's best HRT unit.

Doesnt "Alpha" (or Alfa) claim that their never lost a "officer"? Also, their the ones that stormed the Afghanistans presidents palace (along with some others...) and killed him and the guards. And secured the Kabul Airfield prior the Soviet "invasion"....

And from what i gather all in all, their about the calibre of (UK) SAS, IE best of the best.....
