Second one is Captain Hugh McManners (in black balaclava) of 148 (Meiktila) Commando Forward Observation Battery.
They acted a Naval Gunfire Forward Observers during the Falklands War 1982.

you know, there's a movie called Who Dares Wins, made in the early 80's, which is pretty much a trailer for what the SAS was known for. i'm sure you could get some screengrabs/captures with their techniques and all. i know its the british hollywood, but its still kinda cool to see.

Very cheesy movie. But the storming of the American Embassy was quite good.

wasn't that movie originally called the final option? I remember seeing it a long time ago...

Yeah it was released in Europe as Who Dares wins and in North America as The Final Option. The novel it was based on is called "The Tiptoe Boys" IIRC.

Not a bad movie, cheesy and dated yeah, but the final scene with the CRWT on the embassy was well done.

Yes, its McManners's own book. Superb

I'll second that. It's a good book and offers an interesting look at a different aspect of the war. Kind of interesting that these guys were ashore and creeping around East Falkland calling in fire missions long before the invasion.
