i dont think you can go wrong with a CZ type...seems like alot depends on the caliber your lookin for...accessories, rails, etc. might also be limited.

i've fire a .45 model and a 9mm match model. great guns for the money. magazines are expensive though. They hold well in the hand..very grippable.
I've come across a 10mm model and i really wanna shoot it. Great guns dude.

Witness' are really great pistols. I have had several and just traded two off. 9mm/41AE and 40S&W. I had one in 45 ACP. They are worth it and shoot very well.

I had four. Two 9mm, .22 and one .45. Nice pistols. I went back to 1911, more variety of parts and accessories at a reasonable price. I might add at any decent gun store or show. There are a variety of .22 conversions for the 1911.

thanks for the info guys! :D
The EAA Witnes is the american import brand name for the Tangfoglio pistols made in Italy. The ones i have tried have all been nice and like all CZ 75 clones they have superb ergonomics. The one thing i have heard about them being negative is that some of the larger caliber guns have developed frame and slide cracks, but this can be prevented by getting a stronger recoil spring and a recoil buffer(most 1911 buffers fit the .45 and 10mm models).
If you are thinking about getting one in 9mm or 40 s&w there are other strong candidates on the market aswell, the baby eagle/IWI Jericho(Tanfoglio makes the frame and slide for this pistol, but its fitted in Israel) would be my choice in that price range.
However when it comes to pistols of the CZ 75 design in 45 and 10mm, Witness/Tanfoglio is the best way to go. I'm getting one in 10mm, 15 rounds of .357 magnum power in a auto loader of CZ 75 design is way to good a deal to pass up!woot
I have the Tanfoglio stock II in 10mm on order right now, i can post a little review when i get the time if you like.
