A lot of reviews of shotgun course I've read lately, decry the use of rails on the shottie. Most advocate a light built into the fore end, as mounted lights did not fair well with lots of full-size buck or slugs. It pretty much a draw on a plain bead sight vs a ghost ring, but Eotech, Acogs, etc., don't do well and are not really necessary on gage.

My tactical shotgun sports a 14.5" barrel, Surefire fore end and rifle sights. Don't really see the need for rails. They do have a CDI factor though...

The wife is not going to like you shooting her cat.

Interest rails. Do you have a photo of the rails un attached? What shotguns do they fit? Will they fit on a shot gun that does not have the same stock?

Last one looks pretty ill... I like the iron sights.

Talk to your local dealers and get them to bring some in. Or you can
<------contact p-)

We don't have cats :)

The rails are made to fit on either the Brobee or Mesa adaptor for the 870.

They will not fit on anything else yet without chopping the back off and drilling and tapping.

The irons are actually off my SL8 and work extremely well

Never really liked rails on a shotgun (it does look pretty darn cool though)...

All the duty shotguns (as well as my shotgun) had Surefire lights, 18.5 inch barrels, 3 point slings, and ghost rings. I think simple is better on a gauge.

If I can't talk you into a rail please allow me to talk you out of the 3 point slings on your firearms!! :slap: :)

They are obselete. Ones like the Vickers sling does everything a 3 point can and more without the extra stap in the way.

What the rails do is just bring the sight line up to the proper place when 870/AR15 stock adaptors are used.

I agree with you big time in the KISS factor.

Kind of a "off the wall question", how sturdy is the stock?

Being old school, I consider the Whack value of a firearm to have some value. If I whacked a guy with the stock, will it hold up to that?. or will will the guy stay whacked?
