What books haven't you read that you really want to...?
There are literally hundreds of books that I want to read. It's a matter of finding the time! I am making a commitment to read more classics.
Works by ****ens, Hawthorne, Cooper and Irving are at the top of my list.
What about you?

the book of life...see whos going to heaven or hell....
"Great Expectations", "A tale of two cities", "Nicholas Nickelby" and "David Copperfield" all by ****ens.
"The picture of Dorien Grey" by Oscar Wilde.
"Heart of Darkness" by Joseph Conrad.
"Blood Meridian" by Cormac McCarthy.
Various books by James Ellroy (I've only ever read "LA Confidential").
I could go on and on.... :D
You know, I've started the Odyssey three times and never actually gotten more than half-way through it. It's not that it is boring or anything--though in style it is so far removed from what we think of as a novel or story that it can be hard going sometimes--but something always comes up and interrupts.
I was supposed to read a Canticle for Leibowitz(sp?) and the Forever War in a university course and I never did. I've heard they're good books, so now I regret that.
My friend has raved and raved about Moby ****, so I've always considered reading that.
Robinson Crusoe is another book that I was supposed to read (in high school) that I never did. After reading Memoirs of a Cavalier and Diary of a Plague Year, I figure I may have made a mistake.
Life is full of regrets it seems--at least for unread books

Can't think of any specific titles, but there are many of the 'classics' that I would love to read....if I had any free time.

Ditto.
After reading Hemingway several times, be prepared to feel depressed. The man had issues with his **** being blown off. No wonder he shot himself.

True The bible would be nice to read. I sure do like drama-war/history I just can't seem not to like anything else :)
I recommend Sabre Team by Cameron Spence an epic story about a SAS team behind enemy lines in the Gulf war. Pegasus Bridge is another GREAT book by Stephen Ambrose, boy I love that author! :)

I battle with the "classics" personally. My reading "plan" is basically to read every book that my favourite authors will ever write. Authors in this category are:
James Clavell (awesome)
Michael Connelly
Martin Cruz Smith
As you can see, my reading is generally non-serious. I read so many damn textbooks for work purposes, the last thing I want to relax with is an "intellectual" book. However, the "Selfish Gene" is worth reading.....

Catch 22...I've started reading it but I just can't get through it...
Otherwise...classic stuff, just so I can pretend to be an intellectual snob...

This might be a bit odd of a choice, but I'd like to read this book called "Operaatio Finlandia" (operation Finlandia) made by the Finnish author Arto Paasilinna.
The book centers around a fictional war between Finland and Sweden during the 1970's or so.
Pretty whacked up, eh ?
