Well, atleast the Canadians had to sweat for the victory :)

Finland's Mika Noronen was unable to
contain the Canadian attack in the end

Dany Heatley has this one move when he gets the puck. He actually
skates into his man full throttle, forcing the defending player to take a
penalty or let him go. He used that move midway through the overtime of
a 4-4 game with Finland.

He had Daniel Briere in the open, but Heatley wanted the puck. He drove
into his man at centre ice, and the Finn had to let him off with a small
hook. He skated over the blueline, and drilled a powerful shot over the
shoulder of Mika Noronen at 5:33 to give Canada a berth in the
semi-finals on Saturday and send the Finns packing.

DAMN! Too bad suomen poiukka... Good game Canucks. Det är "suomen poika". Jag hoppas at Sverige ska ta den här guld medaljen, eftersom Finland har ingen chans för det. Feel free to correct my Swedish!

Heatley is one h*** of a player. I don't find his skating or puck-handling too spectacular but boy, he surely scores goals.

I wish the team wasnt made up of mediocre players. I cant wait for the championships this summer.
Ill be back in Canada by then and will be able to watch it on CBC.

Ryan Smyth´s the best! :D

(Although he isn´t the scoring player, he´s the Captain ;) )

Last year wasnt it Anson Carter who was Captain? Or was it just him that scored the winning goal?

Elmo

I think it was Smyth with 'C' also last year. Carter scored the winner...his celebrations were delayed because the referee had to call the video referee to confirm to goal...so he was waiting and waiting...and then the referee showed it was a goal and Carter had to make himself jubilant without the spontaneus effect which always comes after a goal. It was one of those moments in sports that you won't forget.

Yeah, try to put a helmet on my avatar! He has a special helmet because of the dreads I read somewhere.

EvanL

I dont see why he would. A normal helmet can fit fine over dreads.
There was a kid on my team with dreads. He just had his helmet sized a little larger.
