All the best to them. I'm sure they will do themselves proud again, if they are sent over.
I hope the situation doesn't get too f*cked up before we get, there, it would unfair for our lads to have to deal with another fallujah.

It looks like Najaf is getting more of a hot zone since the US troops moved in a bit and engaged the bastards around the city. The city has to be taken out very delicately because of it's religious significance.

How does this affect the Royal Marines regular deployment schedule? Or does it. I know the fact the 1st Mar Div is in Iraq is playing hell on the U.S. commitments overseas.

40 Commando were due to deploy there anyway later this year. Things have just been speeded up a bit.
If they co as a Commando+ (with integral Arty, Engineers, Loggies and so on) it will be a different matter. 29 (the Gunners) in particular have been worked to death recently...

so, reenlistments are down... ammo requests are up? lol Thank god we have our British brothers in arms, without them we'd surely be F*CKED!
