Anyone else obsessed with The Office? One of the funniest shows in a long time! It's actually funny, not f*ing stupid like most US sitcoms. If you haven't seen any episodes make an effort. The man is a genious at motivational speaking and just has a way with words.

“Life is just a series of peaks and troughs. And you don’t know whether you’re in a trough until you’re climbing out, or on a peak until you’re coming down. And that’s it you know, you never know what’s round the corner. But it’s all good. ‘If you want the rainbow, you’ve gotta put up with the rain.’ Do you know which philosopher said that? Dolly Parton. And people say she’s just a big pair of ****.”

There are limits to my comedy. There are things that I’ll never laugh at. The handicapped. Because there’s nothing funny about them. Or any deformity. It’s like when you see someone look at a little handicapped and go ‘ooh, look at him, he’s not able-bodied. I am, I’m prejudiced.’ Yeah, well, at least the little handicapped fella is able-minded. Unless he’s not, it’s difficult to tell with the wheelchair ones.”

As I said the mans a GENIOUS! Just finished watching the second season, how can they leave you hanging like that. I think Gareth should run the CPA! Or at least take Dan Senor's job as official spokesman.
Yeah, about The Office being a US show, when I first saw the first episode I thought they had New York accents but then when it was funny I realized it had to be Canadian........................
Just Jokes. Another great Brit comedy in the lines of The Goodies, Kenny Everet Video Show, Lenny Henry Show and The Black Adder.

Ricky Gervais is a genius. Kind of sad, but then good, that the Christmas specials were the last ever The Office episodes... great endings! :D

The Office is genius. Love it.
You do realise that even though it won 2 Golden Globes, instead of showing the original version, they are making an American version to be shown in the US. I cant wait to see how badly they **** that up. Steve Correll plays the "new" boss.

yeah, it's been in the news a lot over here, won't be the first time they've taken an British TV show and tried to make an american version, funny thing is they fail everytime. I don't know why they don't show the original, they say that americans won't understand Bristish humour, everyone else does though, and old TV shows like are you being served, faulty towers and monty python all seem to do well.

Agreed. Look at the horror that was the American version of Coupling. I really dont understand why they have to "Americanise" everything, do the networks really think we are that stupid?
