Does anyone here know what kind of long arms are in use or have been used by the countries of Libya, South Yemen, Sudan, Algeria, and Syria? I suspect that ComBloc hardware is dominate, but I would like to know some specifics.

It is difficult to get good info or photos but so far I know Algerians uses AK - 47s(also with russian grenade launcher GP - 25), Steyr AUG, PK, SVD, SMG Berretta M12, shotgun Remington 870...
Libya uses also AK - 47s and others soviet origin weapons but have also some FN MAG, SMG Sterlings and some H&K guns, mostly MP - 5.
Yemen has no standard weapons, they use different versions of AK - 47(mostly hungarian AMD - 65 and AKS - 74), but also some FN FAL and some M - 16.
Sudan has more versatile weaponry but also dominates AK - 47, older H&K G 3, FN FAL, LMG Degtarov(WW2 relict), PK, newest gun is indonesian Pindad SS - 1 used by elite forces.
Syria uses mostly older versions of AK - 47 but also new AKS - 74(cal. 5,45 mm), their SF regiment Saiqa uses also M - 16, FN FAL, SVD and some UZIs. None of this countries could be considered as well armed...
