Looks like the T-Shirt the guy was wearing said "US Special Forces" Anyone else see that? Those lefty antiwar guys who made this vid might as well made him wear a "I kill babies" shirt. Totally fake.

Fake or not, this is true:

So are they given orders to murder in cold blood? Notice he admits doing it but he is innocent because he was following orders. Weren't the nazi following orders also?
That guy should rot in a prison.

I saw the video a while ago, and was not sure what to make of it. The voice of the narrator sounds strangely familiar. Isn't it pretty unlikely that a real MP would wear a US Special Forces t-shirt?
It just doesn't matter if it's real or not. (Real as in "real soldiers").
You see a person, you hear an american voice or two talking this utter disgraceful stuff. THAT is real enough to get REAL REACTIONS. Even if it's 'faked', the offensive content is real. The person who put that online should be hung up by his balls, because he fueled hate and endangeres other soldiers. Regardless if he was a soldier or not, regardless his motives. The result is the same, which makes it so awful. Even if it was a soldier, it could be alcohol fueled fantasies, never happened in reality.
But that shouldn't end up online.
The reality factor here are not the hard facts behind the video, but the effect on the audience.

I see it totally different.. These things should end up online. Whether those guys are fake or real is of no importance, we all know that similar things happen in every war and sure as hell they also happen in Iraq.
Military is closely related to war. War isn't just about fancy BDUs, digital camo, Oakley boots, thermal weapon sights, pimped up M4s, Nomex gloves, Surefire torches, IR lasers and tough guys in Wiley tactical goggles looking extremely cool. War is also about dirt, sweat, pain, hate, rage, suffering, litres of blood and tonnes of dead flesh. And those who attempt to deny this side of war are living in utterly delusional parallel reality.
I must laugh everytime I see someone posting something graphic and subsequently getting dozens of angry responses in style 'Those images do not belong here!'. It is exactly vice versa, this is a military oriented forum and those images belong JUST here. Let the people make their opinion based on the whole picture, not just on the shining part of it containing cool-looking guys with fancy equipment.

Yet again the wonderful world that we live in today allows A-holes like these guys to bad mouth the troops on the ground. Anyone can make a movie and post it on YouTube etc and within a couple of days you end up with 1,000,000 clicks...ridiculous...it's no different than the so called "IRAQI SNIPER" videos, of US soldiers getting popped, they failed to show all the footage in their propaganda videos, i.e. it was cut straight after the guy hit the ground, and not when he regains his footing and gets behind the hummer.
US Special Forces T-Shirt!!! who in the armed forces wears this stuff?
The heading of the video says it all for me
"You're F$$$ing famous now!"

Ok, that's why you need a drunken racist on youtube, who maybe was a soldier or maybe not? If you point out that it shows "the real side of war", then you better proof its authenticity. Who doesn't know war is dirty?
My point is, whoever made this video and put it online (staged or real) gained so much influence with it, that it is just out of proportion. In the eyes of a certain middle eastern audience, One guy who talks like that makes "baby killers" out of a whole Army.
Journalism? Reality? Proportionate? It's a damn private video. It serves no purpose other then discrediting a whole group of people and fueling hate.
For us here, it isn't that important and we know how dirty war is, but we're not the target group. It's a suicide bomber recruiting video. And in a way it justifies the next terrorist attack.

Who doesn't know war is dirty? It is unimportant what we or military needs. The fact is that drunken racists exist and I am sure that you will find enough of them in the military services around the world. We are seeing nice pictures of soldiers playing with kids and tyhere is nothing wrong with that, now why conceal the dark side of it?

In the eyes of a certain middle eastern audience, One guy who talks like that makes "baby killers" out of a whole Army. Let us not overestimate. This video ain't nothing to turn your everyday school pupil into an islamic fanatic. If someone was already raised according to a Handbook of a good suicide attacker, then he definitely does not need this footage to move on. Extremist ideas are being fed by desperation, poverty and violence, not by YouTube videos.
Journalism? Reality? Proportionate? It's a damn private video. It serves no purpose other then discrediting a whole group of people and fueling hate.Maybe. And maybe it only serves to become famous and pick up more chicks. I guess we'll never know. Nobody knows whether the soldier is real. But OTOH even proving that this ain't a member of the Armed Forces cannot rule out the possibility that similar accidents never happened in Iraq.
For us here, it isn't that important and we know how dirty war is, but we're not the target group. It's a suicide bomber recruiting video. And in a way it justifies the next terrorist attack.
Come on. Let's get real here. The real Iraq with its cruelty and violence makes this video look like a storm in a cup of water. The invasion of Iraq created enough reasons for two-three decades of suicide attacks, why bother with one more?

It is not a question of concealing it or not.
If it is true, then it should be in the hands of an investigation team, not on YouTUbe.
If it is false, then noone can do much about it. That's how Internet is. But the fact remains that it would be false and it is highly discrediting. There's a huge amount of public opinion around Iraq, and not just American. And that all of a sudden, after 6 years of war, all the US forces turn into a bunch of Hunnic thugs who rape, murder, arson, ravish the countrysides, ect, ect, ect, because that's what's liable to happen seen recent and even very recent history, is ignomious.
There is no justification in your "drunken racists exist in every army and everyone knows it" and "similar things happen in every war", thus it doesn't really matter if a false video of the sort goes on internet for billions to see.
And no, I'm not American and I've always been against American military presence in Iraq from the very start. But there are men there who are risking their lives and limbs and living a war in a very hard and stressful psychological situation and throwing gratuitious sh*t on them is ... I don't know. I don't even have the word. Certainly your oversimplified reasoning appals me.
Whether the video is true or false, the video shouldn't be on the Internet and its author should be prosecuted for one reason or the other. In both cases he's violating a law.
Come on. Let's get real here. The real Iraq with its cruelty and violence makes this video look like a storm in a cup of water. The invasion of Iraq created enough reasons for two-three decades of suicide attacks, why bother with one more?
Sure, just another pair of lives. ... Pity it was the only ones they had.
