The guy is agiant, even if I don`t really apreciate some of his statements, he is balsy.
You should take a look at his book "deeds of war" somewhat graphic but irreplencable.

I've seen that documentary as well a few years ago.

The photos James Nachtwey takes truly contain the spirit of war in them...

Those are some great pictures, I must say.

James Nachtwey nearly paid the ultimate price, too. He was nearly blown away by a grenade in Baghdad late last year. James and the two soldiers in the Humvee they're riding in owe their lives to the fourth person in the group, TIME Senior Correspondent Michael Weisskopf, who lost his right hand when he picked up the grenade to try and toss it out of the vehicle, only to have it explode before he can fully release it.

Damn, some of those pictures are disturbing - especially the ones in the "Famine" category . This guy must have some stories to tell, and not all of them good.

The wounds were caused with a Panga. The photo was taken in Rwanda.

He was around with the "Bang Bang" Club in Rwanda.
The Bang Bang Club was a group of journalists hunting for pictures in areas, where "normal" journalists did not want to go.

Just search for the pictures of Ken Osterbroek, Joao Silva, Kevin Carter and Greg Marinovich.

Some "badass" journalists!
