What were the police digging in a field at 11pm?\
Firearms found in wooden box

POLICE YESTERDAY located a huge sum of firearms, buried in a field in the Larnaca district.
Larnaca police found the box at about 11pm Thursday night in a large wooden box buried just outside a village in the area.

The box contained six automatic STEN guns, three automatic Lanchester guns, two tommy guns, a flare gun and 646 bullets for all four types of firearm.

All the weapons found were in an unused condition.

i would love to have a Sten. even if it was de-activated.

Does anyone have a pic of the so called "silenced Sten" in action. and is it also true that it had a permanently fixed silencer ?

At £300 thats a rip off. For a current de-act with its welded bolt you should pay around £140-170. For a de-act pre-1995 before they started welding the bolts around £500.
