Thinking of going with the:

Special Operations Patrol (SOP) Sling
from SPECTER GEAR

any comments on perhaps a better sling like blackhawk or maybe from some of the international TAC Gear shops (UK and AUS)

lemme know thanks guys.

Unless they fixed them I would avoid the Blackhawk SAW slings, the rear snap seems to bend really easily on every sling I saw. I would probably go for a 2 point sling (I had a 3 point) just so the sling isn't coming in contact with the belt.

I bought a Blackhawk Sling for my SAW and I loved it the only thing was the metal hooks used to attach to the weapon when used on a para collapsable stock rubs the alluminum Eylet out and can bust out so I used a small piece of 550 so there was not any metal on metal contact.

For slings the only way to go is Blue Force Gear.

The M240 sling would be exactly what your looking for. It has the new MASH hooks on it that won't fail like HK hooks or other style hooks.

It also has the Vickers adjustment on it as well as a nomex end piece so if it touches the barrel it's still G2G.

Works for the M240 or M249.

I like the MASH HOOK adapters blue force carries.
they show some cool slings on military morons.
the guy has his own version and he sells it on

it looks really cool but they're on back order. might try to buy some parts together and buy my own, I like the setup though.
Alot of saw gunners ive seen use a similar setup, made with a caribiner and 550 cord, kinda sucks though.
gonna email this guy see if i can get one.

They use rifle slings on their SAW's? I would get one of the ones made for crew served weapons rather than one designed for rifles.

Their new version uses MASH clips. Best SAW sling out there IMHO.

which one? the blueforce saw sling? Blue Force says that the 2 point sling is better because the 3 points can mess withe the feeding tray.

Three point slings are obsolete.

Yes, three point slings get caught on vests, pouches, ammo belts and they block feed trays, bolt catch, charging handles etc.

The Vickers sling and M240 sling with Vickers adjustment will do everything a three point and single point will without the drawbacks.
