You mean the AN/PEQ-2A?
The AN/PEQ-2A Target Pointer/Illuminator/Aiming Light (TPIAL) is a laser intended for use with night vision devices.

from what I can remember, nobody had night scopes mounted. They were all wearing nvg's mounted on their helmets at night. The marksman had an acog mounted on his iron sights. It was a good show, wish they kept it on. Sure it had bad subplots, but it could have been better.
