What do you mean? Mexico has had a Navy since de 1800's and a Navy armed force, these are the modern marines, trained in US fashion, with US weapons and equipment, and most of the special forces are trained in the US, and they have participated with the US in operation, of course secret ones.

Right now the constant operations of these Marines are Fighting Drug trafikers and thier armies of well prepared mother loving mercenaries, we take a lot of casualties, and so do they.

When I was a few miles north of Playa del Carmen, in the Yucatan, I came across a group of mexican marines camped out near the beach. I was told they were there to protect the Sea Turtles from poachers. They were armed with some nice kit though.

Nice links, GAFE1!

EvanLloyd, don't mess with the Burritos or we'll mess with your Beer - and Bow! Hehehe

Smoothie104, yeah - They do have nice Kit. I see Mexican Marines or Infantrie Naval with G3's and MP5's guarding the Gringo Turistas every time I venture down to Los Cabos.

HEy thanks guys, yes, we protect the sea turtles from poachers, back in the day the turtle population almost dissapeared, thats why the government with the Navy Marines made ecological areas for these turtles to nest, why bother? 8 of the 9 species in the world have thier principle nesting grounds in Mexico, we do not want this beautifull thing to disappear. Also along the coast, is where all the drugg trafikers from centralamerica bring in all the coke and crack and other ****, we get 'em there, and also weapons and immigrants, man, its tough, mostly they come in at night, it woudl be cool to have dam night vision, we have like a pair of goggles just to spot them, then we throw the lights on them and chase them, they have fast boats, and we cannot engage, because they are not firing at us, and it pisses the **** out of us when they get away, we have had few incidents with arms dealers, they do shoot and man they got good weaponry, so do the narcs, but Jeje, we shoot at them with .50 caliber machine guns and 90mm grenade launchers, we do not have cannons on the big ionterceptors, on the small twin engine boats we have, which are pretty fast the back draw is that we have no armor, if we get hit, we are dead, but hey, we fill in the report as they firing first, then we engage, and well, its fun most of the time.

YEP, we use G3s but i heard that some armies are not using them anymore, for defense of facilities in the marines we use FN FALs and M16's(M16 is also for sea) for sea we use G3's and MP5's BUT GUESS WHAT, they are called in mexico MORELOS we manufacture them under license of H&K they are kinda good, we use M4 and AR15 donīt ask me the distinktion i do not care as long as they shoot and kill, which well its definetly not like the movies. Hey thank you for your comments, i will try to get some pics form my friends in the Army SFs they are cool too, they fought in Chiapas, they kik ass, but they got disbanded, political ****.

I thinks its pretty good, not that we have an option, the thing is that we have a lot of dense rivers, its a good anphibious vehicle.
