The Aus SF guys are really well trained, the commandos themselves go through a year of Special Forces training before being battle ready - the SASR 1.5 years. Very switched on group of professionals.
There's tons more info on them at www.AusSpecialForces.com woot

By the way, in that Ausspecialforces.com site, on the news page there is a link to some kickass videos taken of the Australian CounterTerrorist teams, the tactical assualt groups (TAGs). As I mentioned above, the TAG is made up of both Commandos and the SASR. Very cool videos, especially the Commando TAG team in Tasmania.

Australia uses Canadian Diemaco C8 rifles. I alway thought they used M4's. Funny.

I think the elcan sight confuses people.
Why buying a Elcan scope? We have that P.O.S. on our Minimi's and C7/ C8 rifles, but its crap! Not accurate and not relaible. It is losing his zero very easy and fog's up all the time. Why not the Trijicon ACOG?

Dont mistake the above photos for all australian forces. :slap: Everyone in the above photos is a Special Forces soldier, either from 4 Commando or the SASR. the regular infantry do not use these weapons but instead are equiped with styer rifles.
