I don't like to think about my death cause in all honesty I don't want to die ever (call me an idealist but hey). Another thing I dont really like is dying for your country I mean wtf is that. It was put rather well in black hawk down when the special forces guy is talking to one of the rangers who keeps saying "i just want everything to go right today". And then the Delta guy is like "hey man...once that first round flies past your head...politics and all that bull**** goes right out the window". And in the truest sense of the word thats exactly how it is. There are provisions in the draft for those that have moral objections to killing. And none the less if I run because I am a afraid, I choose the flight of a coward. If my moral standing would not allow me to be drafted, then I would have the conviction to face those consequences and choices, draw attention to my problem and stand my ground. I would have the moral fortitude to stand for my beliefs; as my beliefs are rooted my service to my country's citizens, the draft is a non-issue for me. It would not affect me directly.

If i came down a to a draft in Canada , I wouldnt hesitate. I would sign up and take the chances. join the army go to a dangerous place and maybe get killed. Walk out onto a toronto street at night, and more likely get killed by some racing north york kid in a honda accord.

Alot of ppl have the wrong idea about death , sure It would suck . But I would gladly give my life to save another life.
