View Full Version : How to Prevent Lint on Pants?..
So I have these brand new black 5.11 (cotton) and the lint build up is horrible. I use that sticky lint remover, but are there any tricks that prevent or minimize the lint in the first place? (I wish someone invented some spray that prevents lint)..

Lint laundry balls.
12 Laundry Balls
Lint Grabbing Washballs Seize Lint, Tissue, Fuzz & Hair for a Cleaner Wash
These 12 amazing reusable nylon washballs help give you a lint-free wash. Just toss them in the washer with your laundry and they will collect any lint debris or hairs in their microfibres! Pet hairs, tissues, paper, lint and fluff are more readily lifted out of the water instead of sticking to your clothing. Helps protect your pipes and drains against blocking.

You can also add some vinegar to the last rinse cycle to reduce lint buildup.

Cool I will have to those lint balls for sweaters.
I did a search for other preventive measures and just got a lot of hits on dryer fires and vinegar(don't know about that).
Either way black clothing is always going to show every little piece of lint.

I used one to square my beret away. It did a good job of that and it's not bad on material that pills (the little balls that form on some fabrics).

Clear lacquer. Helps to keep those knife-edge creases, too.
