Does anyone know where I might be able to source an Eagle Industries RAID pack?
Do not reply with T.A.G. or Lightfighter because they are not Eagle RAID packs.
I know Eagle stopped selling them directly then sold exclusively through ATS tactical/ Lightfighter but it appears ATS are now selling their own, outsourced? possibly overseas made version because the quality is nowhere near that of Eagle's.
I've looked at T.A.G. and they look o.k. but It's Eagle that I want, plain and simple.
If anyone can help, I'd be very grateful.
Thanks

Have you seen TAG gear first hand?
It's as good as Eagle. I've seen more than enough of both since I sell both, however I couldn't tell you where to get an Eagle RAID unless you buy used.
TAG one also comes with a Source 3L bladder and Aluminium stays in the back so you don't have to add a bladder or a pack frame.

yeah I think you're just on glue.
everything made by ATS is made in the US, as with the TAG Raid pack.
funny how I own a TAG Raid in cadpat and I haven't had any problems with it in the last five months of owning it *shrugs*
and since you didn't say it; look on ebay
HA! well there's an outsider chance of finding one on there. but seriously lightfighter.net would probably be your best bet.

Thanks people,
Yeoman, I check ebay on a daily basis, so far nothing but that's ongoing.
As for made in the U.S., I suggested ATS may make theirs offshore as the quality doesn't seem as good as Eagle and T.A.G.
Also, the label on the inside states all the useful information except the most important thing, where it's made.
We all know where the best gear comes from, I found it odd though that if you make your pack in the U.S., surely you'd want everyone to know it???
Maybe ATS simply assume that if you know anything about gear, you'd know where their gear is made.
And one shot, I have had the good fortune of seeing a TAG pack in the flesh, I am impressed by the quality and in the absence of an Eagle one, I will be going with the TAG option.
Thanks again guys, if anyone else feels so inclined, keep the info coming.

Guys ... from what I could gather concerning the Lightfighter RAIDs, only the Coyote RAID is made by ATS. All other colours are Eagle made.

Rooks,
Mate roughly how old is that info, I received an email from ATS a couple of weeks ago stating that they are no longer getting their packs made by Eagle.
An earlier email, about a week prior to that, from Eagle stated that Eagle are making the RAID exclusively for ATS.
If it turns out that ATS do have the other colours made in the USA, I'd be keen to get one of theirs as they seem to have stuck to the original configuration of the Eagle model.
Thanks

Lightfighter makes their own gear in house. In the USA. Made by Americans. My older RAID has a eagle tag on it though.

To be perfectly honest, I don't know how old that info is. I just recall reading it somewhere on LF. Could have been a year ago for all I know. Sorry.
Maybe they have changed to complete in-house production for all RAID colours now. I dunno. Best bet is to get back in touch with ATS, and get it clarified. There have been a few people that say the ATS CB RAIDs arn't up to par with the Eagle made one. The problem I've heard is the strap is coming out at the top of the pack. (kind of a crappy problem though :| ) ... You'll more than likely find it was a manufacturer problem on a specific batch. Chances are it has all ready been sorted out with their build house. Unfortunately, bad news travels fast on the internet, and is usually distorted.
ATS are good folk, so if there are problems, they will be rectified in future runs (as long as people actually let them know about it, and not just post random crap on-line).
This is part of a post by Stephen from ATS:
... It happens, but all the sewn products that bear our name have a lifetime warranty and we will always be happy to repair or replace them as the situation dictates. I hate to see the occasional issue, but we will always take care of them as they appear and continue to improve them so that maybe we can eliminate the issue altogether.
Never held a TAG version in my hand, but have never heard a single complaint about build quality. Note that the 2 do have a few different features though (outside front zip pocket etc) ...

Thanks for that Rooks,
I've got emails going back and forth with ATS to clarify the colours etc, I bought a CB one from them a couple of weeks ago but there was a huge colour difference between the pic on their site and the one I received.
Their service is very good though so there's a good chance I'll give it another bash.
Thanks again.

This is my RAID Pack in Multicam, I managed to get an Eagle Version, it has so far lasted nearly a year in the wilds of PA and Northern Ireland!

Go to Lighfighter.net for all the info you'll ever need regarding RAID packs.
Calling a RAID pack an Eagle RAID is wrong as there is no such thing.
Lightfighter R.A.I.D. packs were manufactured by few different companies over time and they are all called LF RAID packs.
Who manufacures them is beyond the point as if any issues with any of they you will be dealing with ATS.
Even if its a Eagle manufactured RAID. or TAG for that matter.
TAG was a bit cheeky and just took the design without ATS agreeing to that unlike Eagle who has a policy not to re-roduce designesgiven to them by others.
But thats different story and their own RAID has nothing to do with ATS.
The RAID pack you saw on website is tan colour and to be honest I don't understand how did you even think that is Coyote Brown??
Note: BROWN !!! not tan.
The same pic is used for any other coloured RAIDs, so I don't get it why did you think it was CB.
The one on the website is Khaki or more specificlly MJK, which ATS doesn't sell anymore.
Anyway, I strongly suggest to anyone buying gear unfamiliar with, CALL, spend few more dollars on that phone call and ASK.
You would be supprised how easy it is and how quickly you can get EXACTLY what you want ;)

Eagle has no such policy. It is something that is determined between the two companies involed during talks. This was made clear to me when I was discussing products with them.

What I meant to say is that Eagle wont take your design and reproduce it into "their own" when contract ends.
Unless agreed of course.
To me that sounds like a good start when giving your "blueprints" to someone that can easily abuse them.
Policy or not ;)

Well Spale it seems like I've found my RAID expert.
It seems that Eagle made the original RAID pack so if it's an Eagle RAID pack I'm after, that's what I'm going to call it.
However Eagle no longer manufacture them and they don't seem to supply them to ATS anymore as ATS make theirs in house hence the reason for me starting this thread.
Who manufactures them, or the one I'm after is EXACTLY the point, otherwise I'd simply buy one from ATS or TAG or an on-seller like OPTACTICAL.
I've seen the Eagle RAID, I like the Eagle RAID and that's the one at the top of my to-get list.
The RAID on the ATS website is clearly a tan/kahki colour, I sent numerous emails over several days in order to clarify the colour.
They went something like "Hey guys, the RAID on your website, what colour is that?" "Well, we call it coyote brown."
"O.k., I'll have one of those."
They told me it was coyote brown, I ordered coyote brown and what I got was not the same as the one pictured on the website so how much simpler do I have to make it?
Not my problem if EVERYONE in the world who's selling *RAID* packs is ripping off the same photo, as far as I'm concerned, use a picture of the product you're selling, not someone elses, if you don't have a picture, take one or don't put one up at all.
The RAID pack you saw on website is tan colour and to be honest I don't understand how did you even think that is Coyote Brown??
The one on the website is Khaki or more specificlly MJK, which ATS doesn't sell anymore.
Make up your mind, if you're gonna get on here and start mouthing off about this, get your facts straight first.
Just short of a phone call, a dozen emails went back and forth, clarification was sought I still got the wrong thing.
Don't get me wrong though people, ATS were awesome about the whole thing and the situation has been rectified.
This was a request for info and a general discussion about the history/availability of a certain piece of seemingly popular piece of kit.
Keep it civil, keep your smart arse comments to yourself and don't assume that the other guy isn't a few steps ahead of you.
Thanks to the guys who've helped out.
Cheers
This site seems to offer an Eagle RAID Pack in both Airborne and Standard versions. The site is in Japanese with some English.
http://www.aggressor-group.com/amenu.htm
Left Side menu BACKPACK offers Eagle Ind, Eberlestock, High Speed, Kirfaru, Tac Tailor.
Good luck.

Yeah found that one a couple of weeks ago, not a bad site as far as visual referencing goes but they seem to be out of stock.
I emailed them late last week, no reply yet.
Thanks though, now you're on the Christmas card list.
